Whoa, it does not feel like Friday, like Black Friday at all. My daughter woke me up at 7:00am for our shopping event, no, please I would not be up at 4:00am knocking on Kohls door. There was really no need to rush, anyways, I am not ready to shop. I just wanted to be out an about with the many crazy people. The people that drive like mainiacs, you know them. The worse for me is waiting for a parking spot. I just fricken park and hoof it!

There was some major deals to be had that is for sure. My husband and I were ready to go chop down our Christmas Tree, we do this every year and this year he was called on a "page", no heat the lady says, we haven't had heat for THREE days. OH, now you call me.... So my night with my husband is pretty much ruuined, he is not crabby because he has to drive over an hour there to fix the heat and yadda yadda.

I rented the new Bruce Willis Die Hard that is now out on DVD at Red Box this AM on line. It is so cool, you can rent on line and sort of reserve your movie. Going into McDonalds and trying to find a movie with a ton of people waiting behind you is horrible. Bow, go to Redbox.com and you can order online. So when there is a huge line behind you and you put your credit card in, out pops your movie. Let me say folks are impressed! Anyway, going to go take a warm bubble bath and settle in early tonight. Oh, hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I went over to my mothers with my middle son and husband. My Grandmother was there she is 98, she can remember everything from grade school and was singing Norwegian songs, it was so funny. My mom goes, but tell me about yesterday... My grandmother got a chuckle about that! Uncle Buddy was there too.. Then off to my husbands moms with a house of little rugrats! :-) We had a good nioght and we came home and fell asleep in front of the TV.

Thought I better get my post in before my favorite show starts.

I love this show, I am working with my husband on loosing weight which he is and I cannot wait to get my video blogging going with exercise and cooking. Things keep getting in the way, like making money perhaps?

I need to get into the kitchen and get the Spring Rolls prepared so I am not interrupted from 7-9pm. Two hours of drinking wine watching a health show, I am a bad girl for sure. But I got him eating spring rolls and he really likes them so that makes me happy.

Here is a great recipe

1 pound large shrimp (about 15), shelled and deveined
3/4 cup finely shredded carrot
1/4 cup finely chopped scallion greens
1 teaspoon rice vinegar, or to taste
twelve 6 1/2-inch rounds of rice paper
3/4 cup fresh coriander leaves
3/4 cup finely shredded Bibb lettuce
3/4 cup alfalfa sprouts

Garnish: coriander sprigs

For cashew dipping sauce:
1 cup unsalted roasted cashews (about 1/4 pound)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (I use olive oil)
3/4 cup plain yogurt
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, or to taste
1 tablespoon soy sauce, or to taste
cayenne to taste

Good morning all.. I had a good talk with my husband after the wrestling tournament. There were a lot of people he knew from my sons high school wrestling days. He was around lots of folks he knew so he was really comfortable being it was his first "Augsburg" college wrestling experience. When asked "is your wife working yet" by the ladies who also know me and know I lost my Corporate gig December of 2005, almost two years ago I found out I was loosing $50,000 a year, a work at home job, a great boss, travel, etc.. I thought I would loose myself! Oops I digress..

Anyway, he says oh she works from home, she blogs and does stuff on the internet. He really does not get what I do so how can I come off not looking pathetic. I worked four days for Paramount Pictures and made a lot of money, way more than working a traditional J-O-B for 80 hours. I worked like 30 some hours! There is opportunity out there, if you open your eyes. I do yearn for a business though. I would love to start a Coastal Vacations biz and have found a mentor that I have researched and know she would be a great leader. BUT i do not have the $1200.00 to get started. So I was thinking Traverus would be a good way to get started since right now they have a special running where I could get started at the higest package for like $160.00.. I would get to get my training done and be a Certified Travel Agent and have my own online agency. How cool is that?

No selling crap, just offering people my site to use for travel, hotel, etc. Then when I start making money I can roll into Coastal and offer their 3 packages that are so so awesome. Hey, it is important to think about my future and dreams. I WANT a six figure income.

Okay, I better cruise, I had some guy email me today and asked if I was interested in a blogging position for him. I am like, heck yea. Send some more infor.

I am back. Settling in now, had the whole day to myself, took a little cat nap and long hot bath. Fixed my foot up and wrapped it good, looks like I have a cast on and then guess what. I need Vino for this evening. I was not sure what time my husband would be home so off to the liqueur store I went.. This is not mine, I live in a small town and the wine they have on the shelves is not so great so I buy a middle of the road wine. Their wine is on the side of the store next to the windows. Yup, sun shining in all of those precious bottles of wine. I have gotten used to a very wet cork.. Oh well, I can be a wine snob when I am out of Saint Franny. But please, I just can't drink it out of a box, what am I in my 20's? My neighbor thinks I am a snob because I would rather drink pee than drink "Tickle Pink" Seriously the guy drinks Tickle Pink and he is like in his late 30's. But as my neighbors go, he is one I like!

So waiting for Dave now and we are going to make big thick juicy burgers on the stove top, yes can you imagine not grilling? I just am in the mood for it cooked that way. It is going to be juicy and wet.. OH, that sounds like an X rated movie.


My son took 7th at his 1st college wrestling meet today, it was an open so there were a zillion people.. He is a freshman so I assumed in the three brackets for his weight he wrestled in the lower bracket, this school he is in have been national champions forever, last year they got to visit the President.. Anyway, he was in the middle bracket at 165. Very good... I am sorry I had to miss it.. But I seriously can not walk, my ankle feels like it is ready to break because I am walking on the side of my foot.

So I have my wine and will be making burgers and fresh home made fries with rosemary. Hmm, looks good.. I can't wait to start doing video blogging. You can really get to hear my MinnesOta accent. Na, it is not so bad, I listen to my sister and I think, what trailer park did you grow up in that I did not. Her English not so good. LOL..
Don't worry my sister has no clue what a blog is and does not understand the concept of making money other than at Applebees. She has never had a driver license in her whole life and has countless reasons why not, she does drive though. She has never owned a computer nor has thought of wanting to. She is my sister and I do love her. Maybe we should talk more than twice a year. :-( OOps, life is slowing down so I will be more social.

I cut my foot this morning on some glass, I maybe should of decided to get stitches but I fixed it up and now I am limping bad. I took out the crutches. If my left foot is bad, do I use the crutch on the left side or right side? I am so confused. It is cut on the bottom between the heel and ball of your foot. Well directly under the ball. It is so gross. Want a picture? Just Kidding. I am going to go take a nap and a Tylenol and see how I feel later.

Where did the week go? I finished my Gig on Sunday and really was wore out I barely remember the week. I think I am to old to do this Promotional modeling stuff. I like my laptop and.. Well when I was with Ameriplan I did like the recruiting and making my own leads. So.. I have been researching Travel Companies the last few days.. That light bulb went off.. I love to travel. But lets take Coastal for example, sounds great but the lowest package $1200.00 yea, the day I save that will be..... Hey if your a Coastal Rep, drop me a note.

Then I found Traverus. I am intrigued about them. I wanted to be a Travel Agent after high school but thought, ha they don't make anything.. Anyway so I wonder.. I could give friends and family my business card and ask them to book through me if they travel. Then Market on the internet.. Big Sigh. I believe 100% in Network Marketing the trick is choosing the right company for you.. I see many companies that have awesome leaders and people I would like to build relationships with but.. So I spoke to my husband about Xooma and he swears he is going to get back on the horse. We shall see.

So I am starting to update some blogs and do some paid postings on my other blogs. I better get my blogs linked over here, I have been so lazy! I am thinking Red Wine already this evening and lighting my candles. Played outside a few times with the dogs and the house is spotless. Hmm, what to take out for dinner. Maybe I will practice with the video camera... I am going to need a theme for myself! What shall I wear? Hmm, I ain't no Rachael Ray that is for sure :-)

Good evening. Today was a fun filled gloomy and windy sort of day.. I am chillin now with a glass of vino. Candles burning... Let me tell you something about me, I am addicted to burning candles! Especially when the weather gets chilly. I remember a neighbor walking by my house who took a walk every night with her husband.. They knocked on the door and asked if everything was okay.. I said "yes, why do you ask?" They noticed I had no candles burning.. Because I have them burning most every night. I thought that was pretty funny..

So today I don't know where the day went, I barely updated my blogs but my house is spotless and I was learning about making videos for my newest blog which will be......................
In the Kitchen and around the House with April

I am going to do cooking and segments of stuff that gets done around the house. I have always wanted to be an actress so this is as close as I may get :-) I just put dinner in the oven, Peiroges with marinara sauce and moz cheese.. Warm French bread.. Aaah, my husband should be so lucky. Actually last night he came home and obviously had stopped at the local pub for a few beers came home and started a pizza.. I was like.. Are you frickin kiddin me?? (Please say that like a little Jewish Lady) :-) I make chicken and wild rice along with Spring Rolls, because he is on a diet and he pops in a pizza. Lets just say he slept on the couch!

I have been researching MORE companies to start a business with. I yearn to be a business person with my own successful biz. I am working with my husband in his Xooma biz but I seem to be doing everything so I am just letting it lay there until he picks up the ball and runs. In the mean time.. What Floats My Boat? I really lilke the products At Home America offer, I like the incentives and the fact it cost's nothing to get started. So I am on the fence..

My problem? Not a social butterfly. I get out of every school event, I hate helping out, I just don't like it. I would rather just GIVE. So bad I am! My daughters Booster Club needs help because we are having the BIG Section meet for Gymnastics. I don't know what to do, don't let me handle money, I can't count!! Oh you want to give me a calculator maybe?

Anyway, time to go chill and watch a bit of TV. To many shows I like this season not on cable. Private Practice.. I love this show..

I just can not get enough of blogging. I am on a mission to continue to work from home blogging but being the diva that I have always dreamed to be. Yes, I am a wife of over 20 years and Mother to three young adults but I adore my time alone, I adore working in front of my laptop and my wine around 7:00pm. I look for modeling gigs that showcase my age (41) because I am not afraid of that. Not quite yet. I look for gigs basically and in two years my daughter will be off to college so this blog is my every day ramblings on almost being an empty nester.

This blog is going to be about what I do every day, tadda, a blog about me, what I do with grown kids and a hubby that works every night until 8:00pm. He has worked two jobs forever, even when I worked full time for Corporate America so don't go feeling all bad for him. He started his Xooma Business but is not running with it yet so I am doing my own thing. Blogging, promo work, etc.

Well, time to jump into my favorite afternoon bubble bath to kick start my afternoon and evening.
